On 28th July 2026, Ambassador Michel Veuthey was invited the celebration of the 75th anniversary of the 1951 Refugee Convention. On the occasion of this celebration, many guest were present, including the High Commissioner for Refugees, H.E. Mr. Barham Salih, and Mrs. Nadia Mourad, a Yezidi woman victim of sexual exploitation by Daesh, now Goodwill Ambassador for the Dignity of Survivors of Human Trafficking for the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, who received the Peace Nobel Price in 2018.
