On Wednesday, June 21, 2023, the Geneva Institute for Leadership and Public Policy, in collaboration with UNITAR, held the conference “Human Trafficking and Corruption: From Corruption to Common Good. Where do we stand?” at the Palais des Nations in Geneva. The Ambassador to Monitor and Combat Trafficking in Persons intervened providing a detailed definition of human trafficking and presenting the staggering numbers associated with it. Subsequently, he underscored the significant role of corruption in the context of trafficking.
