A\/HRC\/46\/39<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><strong>Report of the Special Representative of the Secretary-General for Children<br \/>\nand Armed Conflict, Mrs. Virginia Gamba<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><strong>Statement by Professor Michel Veuthey<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><strong>Ambassador to monitor and combat trafficking in persons, Deputy Permanent Observer<br \/>\nGeneva, 8 March 2021<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Madam President, Excellencies,<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The Order of Malta would like to thank the Special Representative for her excellent report (<a href=\"https:\/\/reliefweb.int\/report\/world\/children-and-armed-conflict-report-special-representative-secretary-general-children-1\">A\/HRC\/46\/39)<\/a> on \u201cChildren and Armed Conflict.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Order of Malta is wishes to strengthen its <strong>awareness-raising, prevention and protection \u00a0efforts to assist children victims of armed conflict<\/strong>, through its <a href=\"https:\/\/www.orderofmalta.int\/diplomatic-activities\/multilateral-relations\/\">multilateral<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.orderofmalta.int\/diplomatic-activities\/bilateral-relations\/\">bilateral<\/a> diplomatic networks.<\/p>\n<p>It has <a href=\"https:\/\/www.orderofmalta.int\/2021\/02\/18\/interview-vatican-radio-grand-chancellor-calls-equitable-distribution-anti-covid-vaccine\/\">intensified its medical and social programmes in many countries in the world<\/a> on behalf of children affected by conflict during the pandemic through its National Associations and its world humanitarian organization <a href=\"https:\/\/www.malteser-international.org\/en\/about-us\/current-topics\/covid-19.html\">&#8220;Malteser International&#8221;.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The Sovereign Order of Malta wishes to continue the dialogue with the Special Representative and other stakeholders, including faith-based organizations, the business and academic communities, in order to share and optimize its best practices.<\/p>\n<p>The Order of Malta supports the conclusions and recommendations of the Special Representative calling upon all parties to conflict to <strong>comply fully with international humanitarian law, international human rights law and international refugee law<\/strong> as well as for a full, safe and unhindered access for the timely delivery of humanitarian assistance, and as for a better protection of schools and hospitals.<\/p>\n<p>Thank you.<\/p>\n","news_gallery":"no","news_excerpt":"Human Rights Council - Report of the Special Representative of the Secretary-General for Children and Armed Conflict, Mrs. Virginia Gamba","evidence":"no","hidden_news":"no"},"news_categories":[],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/nohumantrafficking.orderofmalta.int\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/notizie\/200","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/nohumantrafficking.orderofmalta.int\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/notizie"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/nohumantrafficking.orderofmalta.int\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/news"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/nohumantrafficking.orderofmalta.int\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/notizie\/200\/revisions"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/nohumantrafficking.orderofmalta.int\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/196"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/nohumantrafficking.orderofmalta.int\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=200"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
