The Order of Malta notes with the Special Rapporteur on the 20th anniversary of the Palermo Protocol, the Protocol to Prevent, Suppress and Punish Trafficking in Persons, Especially Women and Children, supplementing the United Nations Convention against Transnational Organized Crime, the implementation of which by Governments should enable the effective criminal prosecution of traffickers.
